Mr. Yuan Baocheng indicated that he hoped Hong Kong and Guangdong to jointly promote the construction of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, accelerate the infrastructure connectivity, highlight the construction of such major cross-border infrastructure projects as Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link, etc., and advance port customs clearance innovation. To optimize the allocation of resources within the Greater Bay Area, enhance market integration level, further implement CEPA and its related protocols, expand two-way opening up of financial markets in Guangdong and Hong Kong, and speed up the construction of a new generation of information infrastructure in theGreater Bay Area. To jointly build an international science and technology innovation center and create a global innovation and development plateau. We should give full play to the role of "Super Connector" of Hong Kong and the advantages of advanced manufacturing industry in Guangdong, work together to build "the Belt and Road", and jointly foster new advantages in international cooperation. We willpromote the construction of major platforms and establish a demonstration zone for deep cooperation between Guangdong and Hong Kong.
Mr. James Lau said that Hong Kong's economy has benefited from the economic development of Chinese Mainland, and it will seize such opportunities as the deep implementation of "the Belt and Road Initiative", the construction of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, etc., so as to exert its advantages of abundant international experience and higher degree of international integration of its industry system and standards, carry out misplacement development with Guangdong and join hands to expand international business.
At the opening ceremony, Mr. Cai Guanshen, Chairman of Hong Kong Chinese General Chamber of Commerce and President of Sun Wah Group, shared his investment experience inGuangdong. Mr. Li Xiting, Chairman of Shenzhen Mindray Bio-Medical Electronics Co., Ltd. also introduced the situation of investment development in Hong Kong.
The Dialogue on Deepening the Construction of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area was held during the Business Fair, Hong Kong side made recommendations on such aspects as infrastructure connectivity, mutual- recognition of service staff qualification, talent income tax policy, expanding cooperation in trade and technology, etc. Mr. Yuan Baocheng responded with these suggestions respectively, and he said that both sides will next further comb the relevant problems, so as to give full play to respective advantages, promote free circulation of the four elements as personnel, capital, commodities and information, grasp the important opportunity of the development of Greater Bay Area, work together to "go global" and expand international markets, and promote international competitiveness.
At the Symposium on Guangdong and Hong Kong’s Active Involvement in the Construction of "the Belt and Road" & Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Innovation and Entrepreneurship Cooperation, representatives of three parties conducted lively in-depth discussion and obtained overwhelming response on such aspects as join hands to seize the opportunity of "the Belt and Road", strengthen technological cooperation and exchanges, jointly participate in the construction of overseas cooperation zones, deepen personnel exchanges and communication, etc.
