At present, the city has more than 1500 production enterprises of cutting tools with an annual industrial output value of more than 15 billion yuan, accounting for 70% of the country. And its exports accounts for 80% of China. It has a strong demand for stainless steel raw materials, and consumes 1.2 million tons of stainless steel of all kinds each year. In accordance with the Development Plan of the Nickel Industry and Industrial Chain in Yangjiang , Yangjiang High-tech Development Zone carries out investment attraction of nickel industrial chain. It has introduced Guangqing Metal Co., Ltd., Guangdong Century Tsingshan Nickel Industry Co., Ltd, Yichuan Nickel Alloy Co., Ltd, etc. Since the project is put into operation, all stainless steel output has reached 3 million tons a year, serving as the largest production base of 300 series high-end stainless steel. At the same time, the national policy encourages to enlarge the application field of stainless steel, so Yangjiang High-tech Development Zoneproposes is about to introduce high-quality stainless steel materials projects (including nickel alloy processing line, chromium iron line), expand the scale of stainless steel raw materials production, and establish a Stainless Steel Industry Base in Guangdong.
